Decisions, Dreaming, and an Upcoming Giveaway!

Hello all my blog friends! I am excited about my next home improvement project...the master bath! I probably have one of the tiniest master bathrooms ever, but it's mine and I want to make the most of it! I don't have the money to start yet, but that isn't keeping me from dreaming and planning! I am planning to go with mostly white with some light grey and a little aqua for a pop of color! I want this tile on the floor...with a light grey grout.

What do you think? I want a small tile since the square footage of the room is small and I live in a mobile home so I don't want to risk putting down a larger tile that may crack easily if we have any shifting over the years.

We are planning to build an open walk-in shower so the floor will be the same throughout the bathroom. I am still debating on the tile for the shower walls. I know I want white, but I'm not sure whether to do square tiles or use square and use them as diamond shaped to mimic the small tiles on the floor. Suggestions are welcome...:) as for the other walls, I want bead board.....mostly white but possibly one grey wall. We are planning to build our own vanity....these are inspiration pictures.

I like the size of the vanity in the first picture, and I love the dark stained top of vanity in the third picture. The second picture is similar to how I want mine built except I want just one sink with shelves on either side of the mirror. What do you think? I can hardly wait to get started...:)

Go visit the Gina and Traci and check out their beautiful homes. They are amazing ladies and such an inspiration to me!

Anywho.....
So....I've been thinking! I would like to do a giveaway when I reach 25 followers! I'm thinking some sweet treasures from  a couple of my favorite places may be in order. TJ Maxx, Marshall's, or maybe even Kirkland's (if I get to Tallahassee to visit my precious daughter, Miranda any time soon). I love buying for others...:) So, keep checking back and send some friends over my way if you don't mind! I'm trying to build my blog and would love some more followers and visitors...or bloggy friends! Thanks so much...:)

As always.....

Walk With Me Wednesday!

This is what greeted me at my door when I got home from work today. Isn't it beautiful?
I decided to take you along for another one of my walks! You may already know that I live in the country and I walk with my sweet mama and favorite aunt almost every day! We usually do about 2 miles and it's always the same path, but I manage to see beautiful and sometimes new things along the way!
Here are some pictures of nature's beauty that I saw today.....

Beautiful Blooms......in January?

I know some of you live in places where snow is piled up on the ground and freezing weather is the norm right now, but not me! I'm in good old sunny Florida where everywhere you look, the trees and flowers think it's spring. Everything is budding out and even the azaleas are blooming....crazy! We have had a mild winter so far, but we will get a freeze that will kill all the pretty blooms again. For now, I'm enjoying some fresh cut branches off the Redbud tree from my aunt's front yard. Isn't it pretty? I don't know why they call them redbuds because the blooms are a pretty shade of lavender...:) Anywho, I placed them on my desk so I decided to share my desktop today. I have been in the process of redoing my craft room....you can see that post here.

Here is the desktop. I still want to make a slipcover to go over my little tv there in the corner. I can honestly say that everything on the desk and wall behind except for the candle and address book were thrifted!

On the right side is a silver tray that houses three milk glass dishes. Crayons (I love crayons!) are in the pedestal bowl, the vase holds tape, a pencil sharpener, and matches, and the other bowl holds my battery charger and other accessories for my camera, ear buds for my i-pod shuffle, and a pedometer.

Next up is my little roll top organizer I bought for $2 and spray painted white. It holds notepads, post-its, and other office supplies. The little white owl on top holds colored pencils, and the Grandmother's Rose china dish by Hammersley holds chap-stick and lotion.

To the left is a mirrored tray that holds more milk glass containers. The largest, footed bowl holds Sharpies, the other one holds pens and pencils, and the short vase holds scissors, my rotary cutter, stapler, pinking shears, and x-acto knife. The little clear glass dish in front holds paperclips.

My lamp is spray-painted and the I recovered the shade a while back with a fabric scrap from my stash. I tied on a pretty blue bow and glued sequin trim around the top and bottom of the shade and glued a small crystal ball on the top for just a little sparkle...:)

Also to the left is a square milk glass dish that holds a pair of reading glasses, an eyeglass repair kit and a cleaning cloth. I like to keep things that I use often within reach and easily accessible...:)

I hope you enjoyed the tour of my desktop! I'm linking up with Marty at A Stroll Through Life for Tabletop Tuesday and Kathe from Kathe With an E for You're Gonna Love It Tuesday. Go check them out...:)

Thanks for visiting and as always.....

Pretty in Pink...My Craft Room Update!

I decided since I am 95% finished with my craft room makeover that I would go ahead and share pictures. I still have a couple of projects to complete, but it might be a week or two before I get to them....or even longer! You can see pictures of my craft room before the makeover here. There  was nothing wrong with it before, but I have been wanting to get rid of the red and add pink and some yellow and just give it more of a vintage feel. I am loving it now! Most everything you see was thrifted and there are lots of vintage items scattered throughout! I won't go into detail about each picture, but feel free to ask questions if you have any!

I love how my closet curtain turned out....isn't the vintage tablecloth I made it with so pretty? I added it to a BH&G shower curtain that I bought on clearance a couple years ago. I cut pieces to go across the top and down each side so I could leave the tablecloth intact.

My glitter!

My sweet valance made from a vintage sheet!

Vintage record cabinet and clock...:)

My kid's fingerprints from pre-school....:)

My two grannies in the yellow frame and my family...<3
I Hope you enjoyed the tour! I still need to make a skirt to go under my big wooden desk to hide all the junk stuff under there. I am also planning to add lace to the edges of the shelves of it to lighten it up a little and make it look a little more feminine. My dear hubby is also going to build me another shelf to go across the middle of the window so I can put some plants and stuff up higher and leave a space for my kitty Cruella to sit and look outside on the lower shelf...:) I will update as I finish those projects. Thanks so much for dropping by!
Until next time.....
